New Embed Sizes. New Share function. New Excel formatting. New Pendings.

We are pleased to announce our latest release that includes several enhancements we'll cover below. The focus of this release was making custom graphs you build (within the Interactive Charts section) easier to embed on your site or share via email or social networking platforms. Highlights include...

More Embed sizes - Now includes 4 sizes for optimized viewing on your webpage: XL(785x440), Large (620x330), Medium (540x330), Small: (300x280)

Sharing function - Creates a standalone URL for your custom chart that can be shared via Facebook, Twitter, email or MySpace (it's still around we think)

Export to Excel - Revamped the formatting, saving you the time previously needed to expand columns, etc. on the exported data spreadsheet

New Pendings - Added to the Market Activity facet bar. Total Pendings is still there, but this gives you a more timely view of contract activity.

Sold Price to Original List Price - Interactive Chart now covers the more precise "average ratio" rather than "ratio of the averages" (don't worry, we dive into the weeds below)

Keep reading to learn more about each enhancement...

2010 Year End Stats are here! If you haven't already, check out RBI's analysis of the 2010 Baltimore Metro and DC Metro areas. As MRIS has done in the past, we have published county-by-county year end reports, though you'll notice new formatting. Another critical difference - we leveraged a cleaner methodology in generating the stats in these reports (as detailed in a previous post) as well as all historical reports going back to 1997. Finally, we've added the year end reports for each of the multi-county associations that currently have standalone pages on our site. See below for more information on where these reports are located.

As usual this time of year, brokers and agents have passed along inquiries regarding the whereabouts of the annual Year End stats and when this data will be available. The Year End aggregate data will be published within Detailed Reports for each County the week of March 2 (Note, this date had to be moved back a week due to unforeseen issues requiring additional processing time). We'll explain the reason for the publication date below (skip to the end to view the revised stats release schedule)...

MRIS has historically pulled the previous year's aggregate stats in the mid-February timeframe in order to allow for any procrastinating agents out there to submit closed transactions from last year, and RBI will be following the same schedule.

You may have noticed a new function on the right-hand side of each Interactive Chart – ‘Compare to Past’. We integrated this feature into the rbiPRO/EXPERT experience and it can also be previewed by non-subscribers on the Mid-Atlantic page (scroll down to the Interactive Charts tab).

This new function provides yet another way of comparing monthly trends and is especially useful in pointing out when a given month really bucks the historical, seasonal trend. As an example, here's a chart showing how Pending Sales peaked earlier than usual this year as a result of the First Time Homebuyer Tax Credit:
